CONDUCTOR
From early in my life, I have been captivated by the collaborative experience of music. I was fascinated by the properties that permit collective engagement, and my curiosity pushed me to pursue studies in composition. This same drive led me to the position of orchestra conductor, placing me at the front of collective music-making experiences. These transformations were instrumental in my development, and the most important musical experience I have had so far was as the conductor of the Brandon Community Orchestra.
Additionally, my positions as choir director for Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, and as accompanist for the Westman Youth Choir were crucial in my development of relationships with people of varying ages and skills. The entrepreneurial and social skills required for the logistical aspects of these jobs have been essential when dealing with people outside my field. It gives me great joy to motivate individuals and support their own personal development.
